Mixed Media:  collage of various types of printmaking on canvas integrated with acrylic painting represented and exhibited in many fine art galleries and public exhibits. 
The acrylic painting involves layers of iridescent and iridescent interference colors that are designed to shift and change in changing light conditions and viewing angles. This is intended to create a sense of animation and sense of wonder experienced and witnessed in nature.  The subtle shift of cloud and sky shapes and color, the reflection on the water and the translucent vision through the water, the flickering and shifting of leaves in a breeze, these are the inspirations that Douglas E. Taylor creates from. The collage elements are various types of printmaking fragments and Oriental rice papers. The printmaking fragments are from his processes described below.

Felicity
There is a gate that is always open
and a home called Felicity
A place of inspiration
and a way of being

Open to the sky and the seasons
With a stream that flows
Where dreams grow like flowers from a painting
and a song from the wind
When rain and sunshine shower
and fall like snow
And a home can be built among the trees
Where love can flower and the garden nourish
and the stars cover sleep
and comfort and peace flourish

I come home to Felicity
A place to play my heart
A place to be with the source
and surrender the day
Making my art with those things I find and dancing
with the child in me
Felicity is a few acres to be quiet on
and space enough to think out loud

We can walk to the little village and we can
follow the river to town
And when we go away and we return,
we come back to that look in our eyes
We are happiness and bliss and the music
of the sound of Felicity
